AGONY OF LOVE

 AGONY OF LOVE

BY : KHADIJAT BABANSULE

In the bustling heart of Ogun state, Kikelomo, a devoted wife and mother, found her world crumbling when her husband, Ajadi, announced his intention to divorce her. Despite her unwavering commitment to their marriage, Ajadi's eyes had wandered, and his heart had settled on a younger woman. Kikelomo's pleas fell on deaf ears as the man she had built a life with turned his back on their union.

The pain of abandonment was only the beginning for Kikelomo. In the years following the divorce, fate dealt her two cruel blows. She lost two of her four beloved children to illness, a tragedy that is all too common in parts of Nigeria where access to quality healthcare is a luxury. The loss left Kikelomo with a grief that seemed to overshadow even the bustling Lagos life where she settle down.

Amidst the heartache, Kikelomo's remaining children, Akin and Bolu, became her solace and her strength. She poured her love and hopes unto them, and through sheer determination and resilience, Akin amd Bolu thrived against the odds. they pursued education with a fervor that mirrored their mother's spirit, eventually becoming  successful entrepreneurs, beacon of hope in a community that had seen too much despair.

As Akin's success made headlines, Ajadi, now aged and worn by life's vicissitudes, reappeared with a heart full of regret. He sought forgiveness from the woman he had wronged, hoping to bask in the success of the son he had once abandoned. He returned as at the time Bolu who now lives abroad just got visa for her mum. Kikelomo, with a heart still tender from years of suffering, faced a choice between holding onto the bitterness of the past or embracing the possibility of a healed future.

The story of Kikelomo is a testament to the resilience of the Nigerian spirit. Her life, marked by love, loss, and the eventual triumph of her children, reflects the complex tapestry of emotions and experiences that define the human condition. In the end, Kikelomo's legacy would not be defined by the man who left her, but by the strength she showed in the face of adversity and the success of the children who embodied her indomitable will.

Do you want Kikelomo to reject the traveling offer and settle down with her Akin?
your contribution will definitely serve as encouragement.
